Praise the Lord

We often share our needs and prayer requests, but today, I want to start by asking you to praise the Lord. First, let’s give God the glory for growth in the membership of the Seventh-day Adventist Church in China. Church leaders and lay members alike are involved in soul winning and are eager to share the gospel message with people around them. Second, let's thank God for growing religious liberties that our members are experiencing in churches across China. Third, let’s praise God for the increasing awareness and focus on Bible-based, Christcentered doctrines which unite our members.
Speaking of praising our Heavenly Father, for the first time in many years, our churches in China enjoyed hearing songs of praise from the West. The Upper Columbia Academy Octet, under the guidance of director Curtis Anderson, sang its way through cities in China, starting in Hong Kong and ending in Beijing. Take a moment and be a part of this historic event by watching a video report, made by one of the parents
who joined our trip, of the 2015 UCA Octet Tour of China. We have so much to be thankful for, both in our personal lives and in the life of the Seventh-day Adventist Church in China. (Click to watch the video)

Prayers of Intercession
Our praises are endless, yet we humbly ask you to join us in praying for true revival among church members in China. With ever increasing secularism and materialism, the force and influence of the world is pulling members away from God and we want to pray that God’s power will prevail in their lives. Just as in the USA and in other countries, we also ask you to pray for the retention of our members.
We also ask you to pray for the many large cities
where there is yet no Adventist presence. Pray that Chinese members will take action in order to reach

the millions in our large cities. All across China, especially in the cities, we face the challenge of reaching the secular/postmodern mind. We need His understanding and wisdom to reach these people and we ask you to keep this specifically in your prayers.
Finally, please pray for Adventist education in China, which is by and large non-existent. We need Adventist education for not only our present leaders, but for the generations to follow. We ask you to keep this matter in your prayers.
Praise for His Faithfulness: But the Lord is faithful. He will establish you and guard you against the evil one. 2 Thess 3:3
Praise for His Safety: For you are my hiding place; you protect me from trouble. You surround me with songs of victory. Psalms 32:7
Thank you very much for praying for Kingdom growth
Praise for His Strength:
The Lord is my strength and my defense; he has become my salvation. He is my God, and I will praise Him, my father's God, and I will exalt him. Exodus 15:2

Front Lines A Pioneer Testimony: We prayed as we went
door to door passing out gospel leaflets and booklets. Some gave us their contact information, expressing a desire to learn more about the Bible and the church. Since it was a very hot day and we had no water, we knew we would have to ask for some. We felt nervous and awkward about this and prayed, "Lord, who should we ask?” An old lady opened her door and we said, "Hello, Auntie. Good afternoon. Can you give us some water?” She was kind and poured us each a glass. We thanked her and began to talk. “I am not feeling well. My leg hurts,” she told us. “We have been trained by our church to provide some basic treatment. Would you like to give it a try and may we pray with you first?” She agreed, then told us she had rheumatoid arthritis. Unfortunately, we knew our treatment would not help arthritis, but we proceeded anyway. To our surprise, when we were done, she smiled
and said, “I am much better now. Thank you so much. You are so good to me.” Our friendship started that day and from that day forward, it grew. Auntie is now one of our church members. Praise the Lord.
Prayer Alert Elder Mark Finley will be conducting a series of meetings in China. Pray that God will guide these plans.
