The Twinsburg City School District Board of Education met in REGULAR session on the above date at the Twinsburg Government Center in Council Chambers at 6:00 p.m. The following board members were present: Mr. Andrews, Mr. Buzulence, Mrs. Cain-Criswell, and Mr. Nunney. Absent was Mr. Shebeck. Recordings of the meeting are made and kept in the Superintendent’s Office. 07-127 Executive Session Mr. Andrews moved and Mr. Nunney seconded that the Twinsburg Board of Education enter into Executive Session at approximately 6:27 p.m. for the purpose of discussing: The appointment, employment, dismissal, discipline, promotion, demotion, or compensation of public employees and student discipline. Ayes: Mr. Andrews, Mr. Buzulence, Mrs. Cain-Criswell, and Mr. Nunney. The Board President declared the motion approved. The Board reconvened from Executive Session at approximately 7:07p.m. The following members were present: Mr. Andrews, Mr. Buzulence, Mrs. Cain-Criswell, and Mr. Nunney. Mr. Buzulence moved and Mr. Nunney seconded that the Twinsburg Board of Education adopt resolutions 07-128 and 07-129: 07-128 Minutes That the Twinsburg Board of Education approve the Minutes for the following meetings: Regular Meeting – February 7, 2007
Regular Meeting – February 21, 2007
07-129 Amounts and Rates That the Twinsburg Board of Education of Twinsburg City School District, Summit County, that the amounts and rates as determined by the Budget Commission, in its certification, be and the same hereby accepted; and be it further resolved that there be and is hereby levied on the tax duplicate of said School district the rate of each tax necessary to be levied within and without the ten mil limitation. See pages 111-111 Ayes: Mr. Andrews, Mr. Buzulence, Mrs. Cain-Criswell, and Mr. Nunney. The Board President declared the motion approved. 07-130 Deletion from Inventory Mr. Buzulence moved and Mr. Andrews seconded the Twinsburg Board of Education approves the following deletion from district inventory, upon the recommendation of the Superintendent. Laser Multi Printer 3214, Tag No. 12309 (no longer compatible with DASL Software) Sound Write Ring King Cabinet, Tag No. 14059 (no longer compatible with DASL Software) Books from Bissell Elementary School. These books are being offered to the Outreach Center and Friends of the Library. (List attached)

The Board President declared the motion approved. 07-131 Adoption - Textbooks Mr. Andrews moved and Mr. Nunney seconded that the Twinsburg Board of Education approves the purchase of the textbooks listed below, with funding provided as part of the FY07 and FY08 curriculum budget, upon the recommendation of the Superintendent. (Detailed requisitions supplied by curriculum director under separate cover). 1) Reading textbooks and/or support materials for grades Pre-K through grade 6. Support materials include leveled readers, as well as, science and social studies non-fiction reading materials. 2) Fundations phonics program for grades K-3. 3) Drama textbook for high school drama courses 4) Review for College Math textbook.

07-132 Approve Courses of Study Mrs. Cain-Criswell moved and Mr. Buzulence seconded that the Twinsburg Board of Education approves for new adoption the following courses of study, upon the recommendation of the Superintendent. (Copies supplied by curriculum director under separate cover). 1) Business Department Course of Study for Twinsburg High School 2) Industrial Technology Course of Study for grades 7 and 8 3) Conceptual Algebra II for Twinsburg High School (Utilizing the previous Review for College Math textbook: Beginning Algebra 2006 by Pearson/Prentice Hall)
Ayes: Mr. Andrews, Mr. Buzulence, Mrs. Cain-Criswell, and Mr. Nunney. The Board President declared the motion approved. Mr. Buzulence moved and Mr. Nunney seconded that the Twinsburg Board of Education adopt resolutions 07-133 through 07-145: 07-133 Employment That the Twinsburg Board of Education approves a Supplemental Contract for Jennifer Pistone as J.V. Softball coach for the remainder of the 2006-2007 school year, upon the recommendation of the Superintendent. 07-134 Employment That the Twinsburg Board of Education approves a Supplemental Contract to Margaret McGing for the R.B. Chamberlin Washington D.C. trip, upon the recommendation of the Superintendent. 07-135 Employment That the Twinsburg Board of Education approves a stipend in the amount of $300 to Sarah Jackson for serving as a mentor as part of the Twinsburg Entry Year Program for school year 2006-2007; a $400 stipend (plus STRS) to Mary Adams for services during the 2006-2007 school year as Title I program Administrator to be paid through the Title I Grant funds, upon the recommendation of the Superintendent. 07-136 Employment That the Twinsburg Board of Education approves a one-year contract for the following certified personnel effective August 1, 2007 through July 31, 2008, upon the recommendation of the Superintendent. The Board President declared the motions approved. 07-147 Expulsion Mr. Andrews moved and Mrs. Cain-Criswell seconded that the Twinsburg Board of Education move to uphold the Student Expulsion as determined by the Superintendent. The Board President declared the motions approved. 07-148 Adjournment Mrs. Cain-Criswell moved and Mr. Buzulence seconded that the Twinsburg Board of Education adjourn at 8:15 p.m. Ayes: Mr. Andrews, Mr. Buzulence, Mrs. Cain-Criswell, and Mr. Nunney.
