Bowling Green, Ohio, Dec. 7, 1918 The Board of Trustees of tne Bowling Green State Normal College met on the above date with Pres. J. B. Collins, Vice-Pres. E. H. Ganz, Trea3. D. C. Brown, 3ec'y« *•' E. Reynolds and J. E. Shatzel present.

The minutes of November l6th, 1918 and November 2Jrd, 1918 were read and approved. A communication from I). C. Bryant, Superintendent of the Bowling Green City Public Schools, was read and ordered made a matter of record, to-wit:Nov. 25, 1918

Williams Bowling Green State Normal College Bowling Green, Ohio Dear Mr. Williams:The 3oard of Education at its meeting last night placed itself on record regarding the memorandum of agreement between tne Board of Education of the City of Bowling Green and the 3oard of Trustees to the following effect: 1. That section "4M be modified to read at follows: That the State Normal College shall pay all regular classroom teachers employed in the Demonstration School maintained by the Normal College. 2. That section "?" and section "6H be modi Tied with respect to financial burden entailed as the Board of Trustees of the Bowling Green State Normal College may decree. The Board of Education has entrusted to me to communicate this action to you. Respectfully,

Bryant A memorandum of agreement from the Bowling Green City Board of Education for co-operation, in the matter of 3tudent teaching, between the City Board of Education and the Board of Trustees of the Normal College wa3 read and ordered spread upon the record, to-wit:MEMORANDUM OF AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE 30ARD OF EDUCATION OF THE CITY OF BOWLING GREEN AND THE WATS NORMAL COLLEGE, BOWLING GREEN, OHIO

1.
That the Board of Education of the city of Bowling Green shall support a high school of the 3ix-year type including the seventh, eighth, ninth, tenth, eleventh and twelfth grades that 3hall maintain a li.beral course of study for pupils who wi 3h to enter the professions, and business, industrial, agricultural and home economics courses to meet the need3 of this environment.
2.
That the Board of Education shall maintain adequate accommodations of the most approved type for all children of grades one to six except those enrolled in the Demonstration School situated on the campu3 of the Bowling Green State Normal College.
3.
That the Normal College shall for the school year of 1918-19 maintain a school of grades one to six of the mo3t approved efficiency and at any time that shall be mutually agreed upon add a class or classes not beyond junior high school grade and that the Board of Education shall set off districts which will afford at all times a sufficient number of pupils properly distributed in respect to classification to constitute clas3e3 of standard size.
4.
That the Board of Trustees of the Normal College shall pay all regular classroom teachers employed in the said Demonstration School maintained by the Normal College.
5.
That a Superintendent of Public Schools shall be employed on the recommendation of the President of the Normal College by the Board of Education. The Board of Education shall pay one-half of the salary of the Superintendent and the Normal College one-half, and each shall be entitled to the one-half of his services.
6.
That the Normal College shall pay forty per cent of the salary of two high school teachers for the school year of I918-I9, and the Board of Education shall pay sixty per cent, payments to said high school teachers by the Normal College to be made monthly during the school year. These teachers will serve as heads of departments in the high school and as critic teachers for the Normal College. The superintendent of schools shall supervise the practi ce teaching done by tne Normal College in the high school. When in the judgment of the President of the Normal College there should be a special

supervisor of practice teaching in the high school, the salary of such supervisor shall be paid by the Normal College. 7» That the Board of Education grants to the Normal College the privilege of doing practice teaching and observation in the elementary schools and high school in such amounts and under such plan as will safeguard the welfare of the pupil3. Such elementary teachers a3 are employed part time in practice teaching, and any high school teachers supervising practice teaching and not being paid in part by the Normal College shall be paid the regular salary schedule by the Board of Education and an additional sum by the Normal College based upon the hours of credit earned by student-teachers of the Normal College. 8. That the Normal College agrees to provide a supervisor of practice teaching in the elementary schools who shall be vested with full supervisory authority over such schools.

It is understood and agreed that this contract 3hall cover a period of one year from this date and that it is to be continued from year to year thereafter so long as the parties hereto are mutually agreed and satisfied therewith. Upon motion by Reynolds, seconded by Gana, the memorandum wag rejected with the following vote: ye3, Brown, Collins, Ganz, Reynolds; not voting, Shatzel. Upon motion by Reynolds, seconded by Ganz, President Williams was instructed to propose

to Superintendent Bryant and two High School teachers that the Normal College would take over their services and pay them in full if they should choose to come, the vote being* yes, Brown, Collins, Ganz, Reynolds; not voting, Shatzel. Moved by Ganz, seconded by Brown, that the following bills and expense accounts be paid, the fund designation to be made by Dr. Williams, the vote being: yes, Brown, Collins, Ganz, Reynolds, Shatzel. Dr. Williams presented budget for #588776.29 for the year ending June 30, 1920, and budget for $199342.05 for the year ending June 30, 1921, and upon motion by Ganz, seconded by Shatzel, were approved with the following vote: yes, Brown, Collins, Ganz, Reynolds, Shatzel. A letter from Hon. Chas. Follett, First Assistant Attorney General, was read and ordered made a matter of record, to-wit:Dec. 4, 1918 Hon. H. B. Williams, :Jrest., State Normal College Bowling Green, Ohio. Dear Sir:We are in receipt of your letter of November 27th re extending time for completion of contract of the training school building now under construction by The Steinle Construction Co. You state that the matter is now in shape for final action at the convenience of this department. We have not pressed the final completion oi' the matter earlier thinking it advisable to see wnether or not Mr. Steinle actually undertakes to carry out what he had agreed to do.

We are, however, ready at any time it may be convenient to your committee and the contractor and bondsman to close thi3 matter. We would suggest any time the latter part of next week that may be convenient to you, asking that you advise us at as early date as possible when tne matter will be before us. Very truly yours,
